Prompt: Biscuit gets a camera for his birthday.

Biscuit stared at the mountain of colorful shapes wrapped in paper. Near him was a half eaten carrot cake, balloons, and family members now finishing their meals. His ears twitched as he watched him mother and father pull down the first box. It was huge, with bright green wrapping paper. He grabbed in longingly and smiled.
"Biscuit, that one's from you aunt." His mother whispered in to his long ears, he beamed.
"Thank you, Auntie!" He yelled as he opened the box, inside was the latest video game console. After it was all the other games and toys for the system from his whole family. All except one… He had really wanted this one game and no matter what box he opened it seemed like it was none of them… he was done to the last two boxes, one in gold the other in some sort of color splattered paint collage that was hand made…
Biscuit turned back to his grandmother; everyone called her Nana, even though that wasn't her name… he opened the gold one first, he always saved his nana's gift for last. Inside the gold one was the game… the one he had wanted so much. He screamed and hugged his mother tightly.
"I'm glad you like it sweetie, now go open Nana's gift." His mother said. Nana smiled brightly and was humming playfully as he picked up the paint colored box. It was heavier then any other, yet smaller then the game console.
"Go on Biscuit, open it." His cousins yelled at him.  He nodded, years of past experiences with his nana taught him if anything that her presents often were oddly selected from one of her thousands of ever unusual likes. Such as her love of animes, exercise, PlayStation, kick boxing, texting, amusement parks, the dentist, hail, camping, fortune tellers, karaoke, and the arts, oh she adored both making and watching art. Literally, once she and Biscuit had to sit and watch a giant paper clip sitting in the foyer of the art museum… doing well nothing… It was the most boring day of his life.
"Oh joy…" Biscuit whimpered as he pulled out an old school film camera and a smaller digital one… he looked up and smiled as his Nana beams at him. Yep, it another odd one again this year it seemed… everyone soon walked off to mingle and play. Biscuit was left with his new games and the now mostly forgotten cameras… His nana was right behind him with her coat on and bag slung over her thin yet powerful shoulder.
"You leaving already Nana?" Biscuit's mother asked as Nana turned, she smiled sweetly and shook her head no.
"Biscuit, come on boy, I want to show you something." Nana said as Biscuit played on. She frowned and clicked her tongue. Suddenly the TV was turned off and biscuit turned back to see what happened. Nana held up the tangled mass of wires and cords.
"Nana!"  Everyone yelled to Biscuit's horror. Yes his nana had done it again; she had just gotten the whole world to notice her do something completely illogical. She could have just turned the TV off, but no, Nana had to rip the cords out of the socket and TV…
"Biscuit, go grab your coat and meet me outside ok?" Nana said as Biscuit sighed… no use fighting her… He got up quickly and ran off to get his plain green coat. Pulling it on he stepped out into the mild, slightly downcast world. Nana was waiting with the big old camera hanging on a strap around her neck… he walked up to her and smiled.
"Yes nana?" he asked quickly and hoped that she wasn't up to one of her crazed schemes or plans.
"Take a picture." She said and handed the digital camera to him. He looked at it and picked it up. Pointing it to the sky he clicked the button as the photo was taken.
"Here." Biscuit said as he handed it back. Nana looked at the picture.
"Four points…" She said and handed the camera back. "Take another one."
"Four out of what?" Biscuit cried out. His Nana just frowned and pushed the camera at Biscuit. Biscuit grabbed the camera and took another.
"Seven…" she replied in a monotone.
"Is that good?" Biscuit asked. She glared…. "I get it, take another one… can you tell me how many points there are already?" she continued to glare as he snapped photo after photo, soon Biscuit stopped however…
"The last one is a 32…" Nana said in her still monotone voice… "Another…" she added as Biscuit slumped.
"But there's nothing else to take a picture of…" He replied as Nana smiled.
"Sit down." She said as Biscuit plopped his butt down. "Now take a photo." She finished, as Biscuit looked around everything seemed bigger now… he looked under the car and in the bush. Soon he was snapping photos all over…
"Perfect score..." Nana suddenly said. Biscuit looked up and then snap… nana's smiling face framed by the setting sun…
"Nana… you know, this is the best gift you ever given me." He said as she smiled.
"Just wait till next year ok?" she replied as she set the film camera down around Biscuit's neck. He nodded and smiled… His Nana maybe weird, but she was his Nana…
"Wait… perfect score out of what already?!" He yelled as his Nana burst out laughing and hugged him.
Boy Storia one, finished! The idea for the Nana came from the stupid roku or what ever commercial I was listening to only this one wasn't so out of touch... and I hope she doesn't give a kid a fondue maker...
